CATANIA – Work to restore the road surface of various roads in the western area of the city will begin on Thursday. These are roads that in part would be damaged following the excavation operations carried out in recent months by “Enel-distribuzione“.
The intervention plan was developed in recent days during a meeting that took place in the municipal maintenance department headed by Giovanni Petralia. There were companies interested in carrying out the works to make the road asphalt uniform.
The areas where interventions are carried out
The streets affected by bituminisation are the following: via Armando Diaz, viale Mario Rapisardi, the streets Mosso, Negrelli, Gambetta, D’amico Reitano, Confalonieri, Sapri, XXXI Maggio, Speri, Serve Divina Provvidenza, Saffi, Caracciolo and Cronato.
Terna’s works
“Terna”, which instead operated with its own mechanical means to upgrade the plants electricity supply in the central area of the cityguaranteed councilor Petralia that the restoration work under its responsibility will be completed by July 2024.
Operations concern city roads which also remained partially damaged such as Corso Italia, Piazza Trento, Piazza Verga, Via Tomaselli and other arteries where the road surface will also be fixed and made uniform.
