Bologna wants to do big things in view of next season and, above all, participation in the Champions League. There expected expense by the club for transfer market operations, in fact, exceeds 80 million euros (but it could be close to 90). This is the highest amount spent by the rossoblù club during the Saputo era.
Having surpassed last year, in which 65 and a half million were spent, and also that of 2019/2020 (the most “expensive” season so far, in which the investment of 69.5 million euros earned the team salvation). It must be said that, at the same time, the value of the Bologna squad has also jumped forward, recording one of the most significant increases in the club’s entire history.
Bologna transfer market, all expected shots
After the ransoms of Odgaard (4 million) e Freuler (4 and a half million), they should also land under the two towers central defender (which would be purchased for around 7 million) and a second central in case of departure of Calafiori or Lucumì (for a cost of 10 or 15 million). They are then necessary left back (German Gosens remains in the crosshairs) and a right back (the goal is Atalanta Holm), worth 8.5 million each. Added to these is also a central midfielder with a hypothetical value of 10 million.
Finally, as regards the attack, one of the objectives remains the renegotiation of Zirkzee’s salary (very close to Milan). If the Dutchman remained, Bologna could think about adding another striker alongside him; on the contrary, if he were to leave, the club has already set its sights on the Panathinaikos center forward Fotis Ioannids. A total operation, in short, worth 20-25 million.
