Wednesday 26 June Sergio Chiaffarata And Giuliano De Felice they will talk about a topic of great interest and often little debated: There War in Bari and Puglia between history and archaeology.
A dive into contemporary history regarding the city of Bari and Puglia in general. Testimonies, events, well-known and lesser-known events that have marked the evolution and history of the city and our region between the First and Second World War.
Sergio Chiaffarata and Giuliano De Felice are two experts in this sector, both engaged in contemporary archeology research in the territories of Alta Murgia, they are conducting detailed investigation work aimed at reconstructing the events of those years by restoring little-known episodes of the history of our city.
Giuliano De Felice presented his latest book a few days ago Contemporary archeology in 10 objects published by the Laterza publishing house.
All appointments are free and will take place starting from 7.00 pm at the Terrazza del Carmine in Bari.
Every appointment will see comic incursions edited by Ugo Liberatore and will be enlivened by a genuine aperitif at the end of each meeting.
Sergio Chiaffarata Jannelli: historian, speleologist, currently working on a doctorate in Contemporary Archaeology. For years he has collaborated with the Association of the Norman Svevi Study Center and is president of the Association Historia Ludens founded by Antonio Brusa. He has several publications on medieval, modern and contemporary history to his credit.
Giuliano De Felice he is an associate professor at the Department of Humanistic Research and Innovation (DIRIUM) of the University of Bari ‘Aldo Moro’, where he teaches Digital Archeology and Archeology of the modern and contemporary age. He has taken part in numerous archaeological research projects in Italy and abroad, and has been team manager and principal investigator in research projects dedicated to the topic of digital for cultural heritage and contemporary archaeology.
