“We ask ourselves how a carnival, with people dressed up as dogs, complete with collars, can represent a fight to claim (alleged) rights.”

This was stated by Fabio Sebastianelli, Marche regional coordinator of the Popolo della Famiglia, commenting on the LGBT demonstration that took place on Saturday afternoon along the streets of Ancona.

“A parade for freedom? to express dissent against an increasingly repressive policy?
Of course – continues Sebastianelli – so repressive that it allows, without any limits, demonstrations to be held, which to define as original is an understatement.
If there really was repression against them they would not have been allowed to express their ideas, instead…
The rights denied are others: that of being born without being killed in the womb; that of not being killed if sick, disabled or elderly because they are not productive and considered a cost to the state coffers; the right of a child not to be bought with the uterus for rent (let’s call it by its real name, not “gpa”) the right of an economically weak woman not to be forced to sell, risking her health, her eggs or to rent her uterus, or sell her body to satisfy the desires of wealthy people; the right to find a job and receive a salary that allows you to support your family, the right to have a peaceful old age, with a pension that allows you to live with dignity, the right to be able to care for your sick family members and disabled children without being forced to jump through hoops, both work and economic, to achieve this; These (and not only) are the real rights violated, these are the people truly discriminated against.
Let’s not dwell too much on the proposal to include queer culture in study programs (perhaps instead of Dante’s homophobic Divine Comedy?) what is really missing is the freedom of parents to see their children educated in the best possible way. A right, to date, reserved only for the few who can afford very expensive private schools.”

“The People of the Family – concludes Sebastianelli – respects art. 21 of the Constitution and will always defend the right (also of the LGBT community) to express their opinion, but will not remain silent in the face of ideas contrary to non-negotiable principles, to life or , like the (fortunately defunct) Zan bill, restrictive and punitive for freedom of opinion.
Furthermore, he will always denounce actions aimed at silencing him, as happened, for example, with the presentations of the book “against abortion” by Mario Adinolfi.
Because the right to express one’s opinion, if it is valid, must be valid for everyone.”
