Laura Picchio from Umbria became champion in the last European Senior Bocce Championship, raffa specialty, which took place in Terni from 19 to 22 June. In the women’s individual, gold medal for Laura Picchio, who in the Prampolini-Ternana bowling final beat the Croatian Ana Juginovic with a result of 8-5. In addition to the title of European champion in the women’s individual, silver medal for Laura Picchio also in the mixed pair, coming second together with Mattia Visconti after the final lost against the San Marino duo composed of Stella Paoletti and Jacopo Frisoni with the result of 9-6.

My thanks go to the president of the Fib, Marco Giunio De Sanctis, and to the world number one Mutlu Turkmen for having embraced the project conceived by the Local Organizing Committee chaired by Umbro Brutti. They were weeks of intense work, which ended with the great satisfaction of an event of great prestige for the entire regional territory.
