What happens after the elections in Cuneo? Boselli ventures: “Beware of the three caballeros of the Center”

The discussion on “panettone” is now a classic in the shadow of the Cuneo civic tower. In that perspective, the three caballeros of Centro per Cuneo are moving without delay to conquer the succession to Manassero”. But who would they be? One, claims Boselli, is the deputy mayor Luca Eveningalready expected to succeed Borgna before the agreement with the Democrats required a step back: “He would like to be the candidate of a centre-right of which Centro per Cuneo is now an organic part, in line with the Region”. In truth, there have been no worrying signals from the council regarding the stability of the administration. But if the cards remain face down for now, there would also be those looking in the opposite direction: “Councilor Clerico who would like to lead an official centre-left coalition, without the Center for Cuneo, whose choice to go to the right she did not agree with” says Boselli again. So Serale would not be the only one preparing for the future, according to this hypothetical reconstruction.

There is also a third option, warns the opposition leader. The reference is to a person who, having held the position of vice-president of the CRC Foundation, has necessarily kept away from the town hall in recent years. But it nevertheless continues to enjoy great influence among centrists. It’s the lawyer Enrico Collidà what time “he proposes himself at the head of an alliance that should mix up the current alignments by splitting the Center for Cuneo and bringing together moderate right and left”.

We are on the level of political fantasy and it is useless to ask for confirmation from those directly involved, as one can imagine. All this, however, will be discussed again on Monday in the city council, because Boselli has already filed a question in which he asks the mayor “if you do not deem it appropriate to take note of the profoundly changed political framework of the city compared to the time of your election and seriously consider the possibility of resigning”. The answer is obvious, but the arguments that will be put on the table on both sides are not so obvious.
