Firefighters in action due to flooding

Since 4:00 on Sunday 23 June, firefighters have been operating in the municipalities of Asiago and Gallio due to heavy torrential rain which affected the two municipalities with the flooding of two streams. There is no news of anyone injured. Over 60 calls to the 115 operations room, mainly due to flooding of streets, shops, basements, garages and rooms below the road surface.
The rescue device of the Asiago brigade was integrated with the sending of teams from Vicenza and volunteer staff from the Thiene and Recoaro detachments. Situation improving. The waterways flow back into the riverbeds.
In the Schio area firefighters intervened due to a landslide in Contrà Masetto and along the road from San Rocco di Tretto to Schio where the road remained blocked. During the night a tree blocked traffic along the ring road in Schio. Interventions in the Schio area due to water damage.

Above are the photos of the landslide which occurred in Contrà Masetto in Schio which forced a father and son living inside a house to be hosted for safety reasons in a hotel in Schio, after the intervention this morning of the firefighters and the mayor.
