Sgolastraa metalworking company based in Potenza Picena, inaugurated one new area of 1,700 square meters, adjacent to the historic headquarters in Contrada Marignano, intended to house some lines of the production site and the offices, for a total of 5,000 covered square metres.
The new investment coincides with i 48 years of company activity, dedicated to the production of hydraulic cylinders, which have the function of moving the mechanical parts in industrial automation.
“These infrastructural investments, which are in addition to the technological ones, are the result of our commitment and sacrifice and that of our collaborators and follow the company’s growth trend and the consequent need to increase production to respond promptly to market demands”, explains the founder Maurizio Sgolastra.
“In designing them – he adds – we focused particularly on the desire to create more pleasant and functional work environments. We have long been focused on ensuring levels of well-being in the working environment, in the belief that this also translates into productivity and performance.”
Sgolastra has been a reference in precision mechanical manufacturing for years: during 2023, the turnover reached 8 million euros (+12% compared to the previous year; there were 3.7 million in 2015) and the estimate is a further growth of 10% in 2024, driven by a path of process and product innovation started a few years ago from Ettore Sgolastra.
“We are to all intents and purposes a 4.0 company, solidly attached to the future – says the founder’s son proudly -, following a tradition of driven innovation which in 2006, for example, led us to register our first patent, a vice unscrews the rods, which paved the way for a new range of products, also under our own brand and not only for our customers.”
