Messina still remains under Pietro Sciotto, at least for now. Until a few days ago, no one would have questioned it, at least publicly. However, the last few hours have told of a confidential negotiation – which has been going on for some time – with a Chinese groupmade public by one official note of the club, which denied a meeting with Mannino but confirmed the interest of some entrepreneurs. We were held hostage by a continuous bullish game (embarrassing). My bond with your land has distant and profound origins because my mother had your blood flowing in her veins which is mine too, ” still read.
“The idea of playing football where I have a piece of my heart pushed me to make use of professionals and investments such that I could hope to bring Messina football and its fans back to the fields they deserved. I tried hard but all my attempts, even very generous ones, were in vain compared to the inappropriate requests of the property and today with certainty experienced firsthand I can tell you that it will be unlikely that serious people could ever sit at a negotiating table with those who only have the desire to raise the price of a wonderful company that today boasts a significant debt sum”.
“I would like to point out that I would have taken responsibility for those too in order to begin a phase of reconstruction and rebirth for Messina Calcio. My sporting project would have started from the total reconstruction of a fundamental part of a professional club, namely the youth sector, which has now been totally abandoned with the acquisition of a training center up to the city’s coat of arms and gradually to the construction (reconstruction) of a team that deserves much more important stages”.
“Having operated abroad for over thirty years, I am used to moving according to very specific objectives and projects and not navigating by sight, therefore not being competent in every football subject I had made important professionals in the sector available to my sporting idea.
