235 thousand Umbrians voted – A total of 235 thousand Umbrian citizens are summoned to express their right to vote in the second round of the municipal elections. This is the opportunity to determine the future of their municipalities: Perugia, Foligno, Gubbio, Bastia Umbra and Orvieto. These five cities, each with a population of more than fifteen thousand, are in the spotlight as none of the candidates achieved an absolute majority of votes in the first round.

Voting operations will take place tomorrow, with the polls open from 7am to 11pm, and will continue on Monday from 7am to 3pm. The polling stations have been set up in various points: 159 in Perugia, 55 in Foligno, 32 in Gubbio, 22 in Bastia Umbra and 28 in Orvieto, the only municipality in the Province of Terni involved in this electoral round.

The vote is expressed on a blue ballot, on which the names and surnames of the two candidates for the office of mayor are shown, together with the symbols of the lists connected to them. The vote is expressed by drawing a mark on the name of the preferred candidate. The candidate who receives the highest number of votes will be elected mayor.

In order to vote, you must show up at the polling station with a valid identity document and your voter card. This is an important day for local democracy, where citizens have the opportunity to choose who will lead their cities in the coming years.
