TRIESTE – A coordinated and timely intervention took place this afternoon, around 4.10pm, on the old dam of Trieste, where a person was rescued following an accident. The nautical specialists of the Fire Brigade, under the direction of the Port Authority, promptly reached the site of the accident to provide first aid.
Quick response and rescue
Once on site, the team reached the injured man and transported him to the nautical detachment Old Port. Here, the doctors already waiting took care of the injured person, guaranteeing the necessary care. The action of the rescuers does not end here: the VF S002 motorboat returned to the vicinity of the old dam for a second intervention.

Recovery of the dinghy
In the part of the dam that faces the open sea, the team identified and recovered the injured man’s dinghy, previously stranded on the rocks. Subsequently, they proceeded to transport the boat to safety at the same Fire Brigade detachment in the Old Port, thus avoiding further risks.
