MODENA. In the race to compose the council of Modenathere are two pieces that all remain in the hands of Massimo Mezzetti. These are the delegations to urban planning and safety. If for urban planning, as already mentioned, the focus is on a technical figure capable of compacting the municipal machine, for safety there is currently a real suggestion. The idea is Mezzetti’s, who is politically courting none other than the prefect, Alessandra Camporota.
The mayor, who has always had one of his clearest missions in legality, has known it for some time and this hypothesis was born in recent weeks. What is known is that the prefect is now close to reaching retirement, as she herself has not failed to underline in her latest public appearances. This, of course, would overcome the institutional embarrassment that this idea naturally generates, as she is still formally in office.
The council will be announced on July 1st, at the first municipal council meeting. The mayor Massimo Mezzetti, who sent the summons respecting the deadline of ten days from the proclamation, after the oath will in fact communicate the members of the council and illustrate the general government guidelines.
The first meeting of the new city council, until the election of the Prime Minister, will be chaired by Federica Venturellias “senior councilor”, the term indicating the councilor who has achieved the highest individual figure.
After the validation of those elected, with verification of their candidacy, eligibility and compatibility, the possible subrogation of the councilors is envisaged (for example, if an elected councilor has been appointed to the Council) and then the oath, then, precisely, the election of the president he was born in vice president of the town Council. In the first vote, a two-thirds majority of the assembly is required.
