What is missing on the horizon, despite the heat of these weeks and the summer upon us, is the deblattisation service”. This was declared by city councilor Mimmo Gianturco, vice president of the Environment Council Commission.
«The municipal administration – continues Gianturco – has not yet prepared a serious deblattisation activity this year, although it is recommended that the works take place from March/April. To date, unfortunately, there is no evidence of the interventions carried out by the ASP, it is therefore necessary to organize a more incisive action also by the municipality, with reliance on specialized companies, as the municipal administration has the duty to guarantee cleanliness and hygiene Citywide. It is also necessary to reiterate the importance of intervening months before the arrival of the hottest days, in order to avoid the timely invasion of these unpleasant and dangerous guests.”
«It is necessary to intervene in the sewerage inspection wells present along the road network – he highlights – and, for individual citizens, to inform and raise their awareness so that they take small precautions: disinfest private areas, keep the premises clean and tidy, do not keep waste in open containers, do not leave food or food residues in open containers, do not accumulate food supplies in cellars and closets, carry out careful hermetic sealing around the passage of gas, water, drain and electrical system, fill any cracks and crevices in floors and walls, pay attention to sacks, bags or cartons of food or vegetables that you bring home and which may have been stored in infested warehouses, make sure that all the drains in your home are equipped of siphon”.
