The new coach of Trento Luca Tabbiani presented himself to the press. These are his words reported by the official website of the gialloblù: “I thank the President Mauro Giacca and the Sports Director Giorgio Zamuner for having entrusted me with this important task. I return to a square that has always remained in my heart. I was in Trento in the 2001-2002 season and it can be said that my career as a footballer started from here. Being able to return as a coach excites me and energizes me doubly: I have always dreamed of joining a Club in the role of both a footballer and a coach. Once I received Trento’s proposal, therefore, I did not hesitate to accept it. I am, in fact, convinced that this is a solid and ambitious company.
I watched the last matches played by Trento and I think a good job was done. My goal will be to be able to give the group a recognizable playing style. Personally I really like teams that manage to maintain control of the ball. Managing, when not in possession, to keep the center of gravity high and also be very aggressive. With possession, however, I believe it is important to be able to be proactive so as to be able to create several opportunities every match and increase the danger.
There is a good mix of young and experienced players in the team, the basis is very positive but today is the first day and we will start as if we were a blank sheet of paper. On the topic of the market there has already been a discussion with the Sports Director Giorgio Zamuner. I believe, however, that each of us has our own role and therefore we are the ones in charge of decisions on the topic. I am ready and excited for this new experience. I really want to start again after two particular experiences: Catania is an important place for the C series. Unfortunately, however, I made some mistakes that still helped me grow. What disappointed me most was the fact that I wasn’t able to bring my idea of football. Last January, however, I returned to Fiorenzuola. And I did it because I am very attached to that square. We tried to do a feat and almost didn’t succeed. In the second round we did well but, unfortunately, we weren’t able to do the same in the playouts. I am here to help Trento in its path of growth and improvement. The objective for next season will be to be able to confirm what has been done this year and to bring more and more fans to the Briamasco stadium. I can’t wait to start this new adventure.”
