The Tanzi Cup, the padel tournament organized by Tomaso Tanzi, has reached its third edition.
The event was held yesterday evening simultaneously on all twelve fields of the Circolo Pro Parma, from 6pm to 9.30pm, offering an event full of sport and entertainment. This year the competition, in which second and third level fit players participated, further raising the level, included two separate tournaments: one for men and one for women, the latter being an absolute novelty with the participation of 16 women.
The men’s tournament, however, kept up the tradition with 32 participants (and many players who remained on the waiting list). The sporting evening culminated with three breathtaking finals: the men’s one won by Alex Ranieri and Stefano Saccà, the women’s one (Miriam Ruggeri and Marzia Carluccio) and a “mixed” special in which the two triumphant teams mixed, giving life to a show on the show. At the end of the marathon, Miriam Ruggeri and Alex Ranieri triumphed.
First, second and third place winners in each category won various prizes thanks to the support of Cavaretta Assicurazioni, Coffindustry, Ittigel, Farma Ascensori, Autozatti and La Ferramenta spa of Rimini. But the “Tanzi 3 Cup” is not just a sporting event: it is also a meeting opportunity for athletes and enthusiasts. Among this year’s participants there were well-known names from Parma Calcio such as Stefano Morrone, Marco Giandebiaggi, Alessandro Melli and Marco Osio. The event was sold out in just 24 hours, demonstrating the interest and passion surrounding this sport. Not just padel, it was said: the Tanzi 3 Cup also offered moments of leisure and relaxation. At the end of the races, participants and guests were able to enjoy a buffet dinner by the pool, accompanied by a deejay set that enlivened the night in Parma.
