The second edition of Lucca Fashion Week-end is now imminent

The risk of creating such a specific and innovative initiative in the Lucca area proved to be a great success last year, managing to trigger profitable synergies between commercial and artisanal realities, between art and historical spaces.

And this year it repeats: from the 27 to 29 June.

A two-day event full of events: installations, events, talks, exhibitions and presentations, scattered among historic locations and art buildings.

And obviously they couldn’t be missing from the offer: THE PANDA and PREMIUM.

The footwear, clothing and accessories shops of his friend Federico Lanza in via Fillungo.

In the courtyard of the Renaissance palace that embraces Il Panda and Premium, renamed for its location potential SANI MICHELI SPACE moments of great curiosity regarding footwear will take place.

Friday 28th at 6pm – FASHION WITH YOUR HANDS: the “trabaccolari” hooves nailed as they once were

Saturday 29th at 6pm – SCH ǝ WA GENDER FREE SHOES: a comfortable shoe for everyone

On the afternoon of Friday 28th, the LA MODA CON LE MANI event will be animated by the live and tailor-made construction of the Viareggio-inspired women’s clog.

A nostalgic reference to the “trabaccolare” footwear that in the last century belonged to the maritime and popular Versilia, reflecting the shape and character of those who wore them: tenacity, simplicity and concreteness.

The LA MODA CON LE MANI event proposes this artisanal tradition of “trabaccolaro” in a glamorous way, with attention to detail and the refinement of materials worthy of its roots: lime wood for the base; vegetable calf and cowhide for the uppers.

And the saddlery: the untreated copper nails, also used for the legendary Riva and Dinghi boats.

To nail the clogs there will be a master craftsman of the “Bagno Nettuno” line of footwear and sandals, ready to tell us anecdotes, curiosities and construction techniques, to make us complicit not only in an already valid moment of craftsmanship, but in a sensorial experience complete that will make those who manage to purchase their pair of clogs proud.

Yes! Because i trabaccolari made to measure will be on sale and due to the short time available, we will have to hurry to reserve them.

In contrast with the craftsmanship and the re-enactment of a historical shoe such as the trabaccolaro on Friday, on Saturday 29th from 6pm in the Spazio Sani Micheli we will host a meeting on an important topical theme with a strictly Lucchese producer: SCHǝWAadvocate of gender free shoes.

SCHǝWA – with the e backwards ǝ – it already clarifies in the logo that we are talking about an inclusive and genderfluid language.

This is a shoe designed for everyone: men, women, both and neither.
In a fluid world: a fluid shoe.
SCHWA is produced in sizes from 26 to 46 EU for each line and color variant, it is an aseasonal shoe and against the waste of fast fashion, it is 100% made in Tuscany, completely made in an artisan atelier in Lucca with all Italian leathers and materials .

THEdesigned by a careful group of stylists and designed for all types of feet and fit, it is suitable for a historical period in which comfort has become a need, and has been designed and industrialized to be easy, enveloping and light, capable to offer a cocoon experience for your feet.

And its added value is that despite SCHǝWA is 100% made in Italy, in genuine Italian leather, and that its production and the entire supply chain is sustainable, and is offered at a competitive market price.

Last (but not least!) intriguing aspect of the two afternoons described is that the location that will host the two events will not be the already majestic Courtyard of Palazzo Sani as we know it.

Its space has been made even more attractive, thanks to the green setting with tropical plants mixed with others of our tradition.

Olive trees and small grasses, classic aromatic plants, giants of flowering succulents, all emphasized by a colorful and engaging display that is very reminiscent of the JARDIN MAJORELLE to Marrakesh wanted good retreat dear to Yves Saint Laurent.

Once again we would have the opportunity to spend our time in a wonderful place, full of culture, linked to our history and enriching ourselves with new things.
