One or more fanatics have once again given proof of what thrives in this country, that is, the worst of retrogressive Luddism hidden behind a veneer of green to make itself presentable: the experimental Tea rice field, which after a tiring authorization process had finally represented the restart of the best of our research in the sector, was destroyedafter tampering with the security camera and damaging the metal protective fences.
A month ago, I wrote about how research was finally taking root in Italian fields too; but this is a country where a minority of perfect idiots, blinded by ideology and the fury that it unleashes in the weakest minds, and at the same time not courageous enough to express themselves openly, think of canceling with a cowardly and violent gesture what they really to reduce the use of agrochemicals, to protect our plants and our fields and to safeguard one of the most important food productions in Europe we are trying to develop – green plants that grew towards the future, and that a stupid and violent paw he took away.
I hope that they will soon be able to experience the product of their ignorant arrogance, as well as the punishment of justice, in the hope that it will reach them; but in any case, the ignorant people in this country who want to assert their arrogance with similar gestures must know that they will obtain no other result than the evidence of how fake and harmful their vacuous environmentalism is, harmful to the environmentfor agriculture, for research and for the future.
The research, however, will not stop. The experimentation will continue, and if it is not in Italy, it will be elsewhere, because the scientific community fortunately knows no borders or edges. Even in our country we will return to planting, we will insist on explaining, we will continue to try to make people understand and demonstrate, in spite of the few scoundrels who vandalize the work of others and the future of the country.
To our researchers Vittoria Brambilla and Fabio Fornara and to their entire research group, but also to the courageous agricultural entrepreneur Federico Radice Fossati, they all deserve the solidarity of all Italians who still have the ability to activate their own neurons. Let those imbeciles, who only succeed in destroying, know that the citizens who appreciate our research are a large, very large majority, and they will not be intimidated either by this or by other terrorist acts that their sick minds might conceive. .
