A trio of Genoa players called up to the training camp which will bring forward by about ten days the departure of coach Bernardo Corradi’s Italy Under 19 team to the European Championship which will be held in Northern Ireland. They will be joining the retreat in Bolzano Roman (class of 2006), Parravicini (midfielder born in 2005 on loan with right to buy from Spal) e Finish (born 2006), who played for Italy Under 21 in recent weeks.
As stated on the FIGC website, the Azzurrini I am “placed in Group A with the hosts Northern Ireland, Ukraine and Norway, and will make their debut with the latter Monday 15 July at 4.30pm (Italian time) at the Seaview Stadium in Belfast. The second match, scheduled Thursday 18th will pit Italy against Northern Ireland (played at 8pm at Inver Park in Larne), to then close Sunday 21st, again in Larne (8pm) against Ukraine. The top two from each group will qualify for the scheduled semi-finals Thursday 25 Julyalso obtaining the pass for the Under 20 World Cup in Chile in 2025. The two third-placed teams, however, will face each other in a play-off match, to be played again on Thursday 25th, to determine the fifth European team that will obtain the pass for Chile. final in Belfast (which like the semi-finals will be played at the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park) will finally be Sunday 28 July at 8pm“.
