Basilicata Region managers competition, “postpone the tests”

“The publication of the examination diary and of the notice of call relating to the public competition, based on qualifications and exams, for the recruitment of 18 units of managerial staff of the Basilicata Region, after two years from the publication of the notice in the Official Journal, is definitely good news. On several occasions the Fp CGIL, the CISL Fp and the UIL Fpl have urged the completion of the announced competition, of which traces had now been lost, highlighting the serious shortages of managerial personnel in the Region and the state of suffering in which the offices of the institution. However, what is surprising is the sudden and unexpected acceleration given by the publication of the notice of call just 15 days after the written tests, in compliance with the minimum deadline set by the notice. But the very choice of dates, in the midst of the summer season, appears inappropriate given that the participants are mainly officials from the region or in any case from public administrations. Another peculiarity is the concentration of the two written tests on the same day and therefore few hours available given the multiplicity of subjects examined. In short, a tour de force in which it will be necessary to reconcile work activity and sprint for the final preparation. In light of these considerations, the unions ask to evaluate the possibility of postponing the competition tests at least until the first ten days of September to guarantee the widest possible participation of the candidates.
