Divers with disabilities will be expert teachers in the water in Monza

As part of the “Zero Barrier Diving” project, an initiative conducted for years in Italy and abroad by HSA Italia, together with ANASEND (National Association of Underwater Activities and Swimming for the Disabled), on 22 June at the Triante swimming pool in Monza an instructor course for divers with disabilities is planned, which will also include expert divers with disabilities among the teachers. The initiative is organized by the Club Sub Amici del Mare, a pioneer HSA school in the Monza Brianza area for teaching diving to people with disabilities

Within the project Zero Barrier Divingan initiative conducted for years in Italy and abroad by HSA Italytogether with theANASEND (National Association of Underwater and Swimming Activities for the Disabled), Saturday 22 June at the Triante swimming pool Of Monza a course is scheduled instructors for divers with disabilities which you will also see among the teachers diving experts with disabilities. The initiative is organized by Diving Club Friends of the Seaa pioneer HSA school in the Monza Brianza area in the field of teaching diving to people with disabilities.

Among those who will participate in the initiative also worth mentioning Mario Ponticello, former president ofAPL (Lombardy Paraplegic Association), expert diver with disabilities, who has been diving for over twenty-five years with an HSA certification acquired through the Amici del Mare Sub Club school. «I leave the wheelchair and the constraints on the shore – he says, and I enter the water, where I move freely in all directions without barriers. In particular, when I dive into the sea I discover the wonders of the underwater world and I feel joy in being in contact with a fantastic world full of life and colours. For me it is an achievement. And I like to share these moments with friends who are diving with me. Days like this leave me with beautiful memories and they help me in daily life». (SB)
