Goods Exchange in Bergamo, the Chamber of Commerce is looking for ideas to give a new future to the spaces

The Bergamo Chamber of Commerce try again to give a future to the Commodity Exchange. He has in fact started a new exploratory survey to collect expressions of interest from interested parties redevelop, enhance and manage a portion of the Palace of Contracts and Manifestations, what it is called Commodity Exchangein via Verdi.

The building, dating back to 1954 and designed by architects Marcello Piacentini and Sandro Angelini, is located in the heart of Bergamo and is of particular historical and artistic value. The rooms subject to the redevelopment overlook Piazza della Libertà with large windows facing a high portico. The spaces, previously home to the registry offices, are mainly open spaceoccupy one gross surface area of ​​930 m2 and are spread over three floors: basement, ground and mezzanine. The objective of the operation is to redevelop the property or part of it to offer activities or services related to institutional purposes referring to the public-private partnership formula, in order to allow greater animation of the part of the city center where the Palace is located, which is characterized by the presence of professional services and commercial activities.

The Chamber of Commerce is willing to evaluate also proposals that involve a change of use of the premises, such as the organization of an exhibition and promotional area dedicated to the valorisation of production chains or local products, spaces of co-working or used for laboratory or training courses. This is new compared to a first attempt made a year ago which was unsuccessful.
