L’Aquila, a bar in the Castle closed for six days – News

On the morning of today, 11 June 2024, the Flying Squad of the Police Headquarters notified the owner of a public place of a provision, ordered by the Police Commissioner of L’Aquila pursuant to art. 100 of the Consolidated Law on Public Security, with the which was ordered to close, for 6 days, the commercial establishment, a bar near the sixteenth-century castle of L’Aquila.

The act became necessary following the numerous reports recorded in recent times, received from residents in the castle park area, who complain about the disturbance to the peace and quiet due to the noise and other problems coming from inside the premises and in the immediacy of the same.

In particularin the notified decree, in addition to the noise and the frequenting of the bar by people with police records which emerged in previous checks, a fight which took place inside the premises last week was highlighted, which resulted in the breaking of a leg of a customer.

Adoption of the provision in question, also finds its foundation by virtue of the powers that the art. 100 TULPS gives to the State Police, as a tool used to re-establish public order and safety on commercial activities of this type and which has the function of warning activities that do not have adequate control or supervision of their customers and to reiterate the presence of the state.
