Councilor Bragato: “Motivated only by the unfavorable weather forecast”
Legnano – The traditional “Night in the centre” postponed due to bad weather of Legnano… or maybe not? Some people had raised the question traders in Corso Garibaldi which, having seen the evening canceled one day after the initiative, and with it also the possibility of recover expenses incurred in preparation for the eventthey had suggested that the bad weather was just an excuse for hide a “flop” caused by “Less than adequate sponsorship.”
However, the response arrives from the municipal administration of Legnano:

“The decision to postpone the “Night in the Center” was shared with the traders’ representatives, with whom the event, obviously planned for some time, was organized – Explains the councilor with responsibility for Culture, Tourism and Events Guido Bragato – We understand, given the large number of businesses involved, that it wasn’t a unanimous choice. From our part we confirm the administration’s absolute interest in an event that has now become traditional in the calendar of summer events in the city, as evidenced by the great work by the municipal offices involved – starting from the Events Office – ei 25 thousand euros committed again this year for Friday evening only, as part of a whole week of entertainment in the city centre. Faced with the risk of “burning” this sum, we could not fail to take into account the uncertain weather forecast, the only reason for the postponement. We would have had no doubt about the public’s response, in the wake of the success found in previous editions and the “Night at the Opera”, which opened the events planned in Piazza San Magno on Tuesday 18 June with an excellent public response“.
