a weekend based on shiatsu and art

Even (Grosseto). Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June in the palace, a Even, four operators of the renowned Zen Shiatsu School of Milan they will donate their time and professionalism to offer the local community shiatsu treatments, a Japanese therapeutic technique that combines acupressure and muscle stretching.

The initiative is promoted by the Celscvil association – in Etruscan “Gift to the Earth” – which is working on the creation near Casenovole of a contemporary art park inspired by Etruscan culture and Chinese Taoist philosophy. The project involves international artists working alongside the local community with the aim of triggering cultural dynamics and promoting active citizenship, inclusion and the general well-being of people.

The program

The program of Saturday 22 June – organized in partnership with Cesvot – will take place at the Pari palace and will start at 10 with a round table that will explore the concept of giving, the importance of volunteering and the relationship between shiatsu and the Celscvil environmental art park project. Among the speakers, the educational director of the Zen School of Shiatsu Marco Scorbatti and the artistic director of the park Valerio Giovannini. Journalist Elena Ceva will moderate the round table. During the morning it will be possible to book for shiatsu treatments which will run until 7.30pm on Saturday and from 10am to 1pm on Sunday morning. Will participate in treatments Marilena Giulianetti – Canguasti association – active in the Civitella Paganico area with weekly workshops dedicated to the practice of Tai Chi and theatre.

Sunday afternoon events will take place at park “in progress” Celscvil, where the inauguration of the Arena nel Bosco will take place, a space built in tuff and surrounded by nature, which aims to promote cultural events and community activities. The program will begin at 17 with the children’s workshop “Let’s build a mosaic with recycled material”. This will be followed by “The Mystery of the Etruscan Ring”, a fairy tale sung and recited by Giampaolo Schifano and Margherita Mannucci. At 6.30pm the environmental artwork created by the artist Anna Kromm will be presented. From 7pm to 8.30pm the country blues concert by Foneno, a busker project active since 2012 in Florence.

Events they are free while places last and co-supported by the Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze Foundation. The organizers thank the Granital Siena yellow marble quarry for donating the material for the artwork and invite everyone to participate and share the vision of a future in which art, nature and community converge in harmony.
