The direct line between the center-right of Lecce and the Government of Rome is becoming increasingly stronger. In the afternoon, two ministers met the mayoral candidate Adriana Poli Bortone, bringing proposals and ensuring their commitment to implementing them.

In Piazzetta Alleanza, the Minister of Education and Merit Giuseppe Valditara spoke in concrete terms about school buildings, proposing the ”Beautiful schools” project, a study developed by ten architects during the previous Ministry, which remained in the drawer. Then, he recalled that he had allocated more money than was foreseen by the Pnrr for the construction or renovation of school gyms, also intended for the province of Lecce.

”Let’s make an agreement – he told Senator Poli Bortone – to survey the city’s sports facilities and then stipulate agreements with the schools so that they are made available effectively to the children”.

The most important objective, however, seems to be the creation of a campus: ”I have allocated specific funds to ensure that there is a campus in every region”. And in Puglia it could be in Lecce.

Paolo Zangrillo, Minister for Public Administration, in the Forza Italia electoral committee, among other things, accepted Senator Poli Bortone’s request for the establishment of a political-administrative training school.

”I have started a process of opening regional training centers – he said – We will think about an administration training center in Puglia, a center that represents a point of reference for all public employees in Puglia, which we will then characterize on the most congenial themes for the development of the region and of Lecce”.
