Lamezia, Municipality signs agreement for the assignment of green areas in Piazza Mazzini

Lamezia Terme – The agreement for the assignment of the public green areas located in the pedestrian area of Piazza Mazzini has been signed. The agreement, they announce, “formally defined yesterday with the signature by the owner of the newsstand Piazza Mazzini – Pan&Quotidiano di Giovanna Ficara in the presence of the deputy mayor Antonello Bevilacqua, provides – in line with the numerous sponsorship agreements for green areas and roundabouts already signed by the municipal administration in recent years – on the part of the private business, for the next three years, at its own expense and care, the construction, care, arrangement and maintenance works of all the green spaces present in the historic square of the city, including the play area. A piece that adds to the urban and cultural regeneration project, conceived by Stefano Pujia together with the architect Ester Pontoriero, who in recent months has revitalized the Piazza Mazzini area with cultural and recreational initiatives, moments of debate and entertainment, starting to make a focal point for the entire Lamezia community is once again attractive”.

“Pan&Quotidiano is a cultural project that was born for the city and grows thanks to the city – declares the promoter Stefano Pujia – The possibility of taking care of the green areas on a daily basis is an extraordinary opportunity and a responsibility to involve all those who love this square and they want to return it to its historic beauty. I thank the municipal administration, starting with the mayor Paolo Mascaro, the deputy mayor Antonello Bevilacqua, the councilor Luigi Muraca, the manager Pasqualino Nicotera who, very quickly, managed to get the signature. Thank you for believing in this project and for having bet on the positive energies that in recent months we have managed to awaken and bring together in Piazza Mazzini”. For the Mascaro administration, “the agreement with Pan&Quotidiano, an innovative reality in which our administration wanted to believe and which it wanted to encourage from the beginning, is a strong push to restore decorum and prestige to the historic square and confirms the will of this administration, in line with the best Italian experiences, to invest in public-private synergy to make our city increasingly beautiful and attractive”.
