THE EAGLE. The Regional Council approved by majority the draft law «Provisions on urban planning and transport, culture and information, regulations and extension. Amendments to regional laws nos. 58/2023, 10/2011, 46/2013, 20/2023, 53/2023, 91/1994, 37/2020, 1/2021, 2/2022, 46/2023 and 4/2024″. This is a so-called “omnibus” law because amendments have been included which allocate contributions for bodies, events and associations and which change the rules and regulations regarding the organization and working relationships of the Region.
The text is organized into four Chapters, distinguished by subject and function.
The first part is dedicated to Provisions regarding urban planning and transport. Various changes are made to the «New urban planning law on territorial governance», responding to the need to clarify and specify the application and interpretative scope of some regional provisions deriving from the numerous requests addressed to the Territorial Planning Office of the regional council. Various modification proposals from opposition groups were also accepted on the topic.
Chapter II, Provisions regarding culture and informationincludes the provisions that authorize the regional council to purchase the D’Annunzio Library of the Mario Paglieri Collection (for a maximum total amount of 190 thousand euros), providing the relative financial coverage. The book heritage on the Poet will be donated to the Municipality of Pescara. It is planned that the D’Annunzio Library will be located in Pescara, d’Annunzio’s birthplace, in a museum space that guarantees its valorization and ensures its use by the community.
An endowment fund has been established Abruzzo Film Commission Foundation (50 thousand euros for the 2024 financial year) and integrated the Foundation’s management fund (350 thousand euros for 2024 and 600 thousand euros for the years 2025-2026).
An extraordinary contribution is expected for the year 2024 in favor of IHigher Institute of Religious Sciences “Fides et Ratio” of L’Aquilaaimed at granting scholarships for student attendance for the 2024-2025 academic year (40 thousand euros).
