The work of the Spugna Project, managed by the CAP Group under the direction of Città Metropolitana, continues at full speed as part of “Rho the city that changes”. These are works that affect a total of eleven rest areas in the city for a total amount of six million euros.

After the opening of the part that overlooks via Cornaggia near the Casa dell’Acqua, all the parking stalls near Villa Burba will open to vehicles: on 5 July, after the installation of the horizontal signs, the entire Cornaggia car park will be accessible. Next to the stalls (some of which are reserved for people with disabilities) covered in draining concrete, a rain garden has been created to contain and absorb rainwater. The project also includes the redevelopment of the greenery, which will be implemented in the autumn season. All under the coordination of the Mobility and Environment councillor, Valentina Giro. A few days ago, the Mayor Andrea Orlandi and the deputy mayor Maria Rita Vergani with the technicians they had carried out an inspection during the installation time of the draining concrete, personally verifying the effectiveness of the intervention.

In the meantime, on June 24th, the construction site will begin via Zadar. Starting from 8 July the workers will also be at work in the rest area of via Nennito apply the innovations of the Spugna Project there too and guarantee greater drainage of rainwater, avoiding accumulations in the sewers.
