The Vigliane Festivals return to Trento. For the 2024 edition of the Magical Night, a shuttle bus service will be activated with the car parks in Trento south and the road system will be temporarily modified to allow the event to take place, from Friday 21st to Sunday 30th June.
On the roads: bans and changes
Most of the measures concern the central restricted traffic zone but for the re-enactment of ancient crafts, roads outside the historic center are also involved, such as Viale Trieste for the Fersina music festival. It should be noted that for the Magical Night there is a shuttle bus service with car parks in Trento south which can be used with normal public transport tickets. Sunday 23rd for the Palio dell’oca and Wednesday 26th for the San Vigilio fireworks are the days with the greatest expected flow of people.
On the occasion of Historical parade, between via S. Marco, via Manci and via Belenzani, there will be a ban on vehicular transit and suspension of vehicular traffic for the time strictly necessary for the transit of the procession in via Clesio at the Castello del Buonconsiglio from 7 pm until 21 of June 21st. Parking ban with forced removal on June 21st on the south side of Piazza Sanzio in the stretch between Via Suffragio and Piazza Mostra.
For the Magical night, a parking ban will be established with forced removal on all roads inside the ZTL excluding via Marchetti, via Ferruccio, via al Torrione and via Roma in the stretch between via delle Orfane and piazza della Portela from 12 noon on 22 June until 6 of 23 June. Prohibition of transit on all roads within the ZTL from 6pm on June 22nd until 6am on June 23rd. Via Roggia grande: parking ban with forced removal on both sides from 7am on June 22nd until 6pm on June 23rd. Via Garibaldi: parking ban with forced removal in parking spaces adjacent to Palazzo Pretorio until midnight on 28 June. Via Dordi: parking ban with forced removal from 7am on 21 June until 6am on 23 June. Via Calepina: in the stretch between via Garibaldi and via Roccabruna no transit and no parking with forced removal from 7am on 22 June until 6pm on 23 June. Via Mazzini – 1st and 2nd androna Borgonuovo – piazza Garzetti: parking ban with forced removal until midnight on 28 June.
On the day of the Magical Night a shuttle bus service will be active. For the “outward journey”, departures will take place from the Trento Sud parking area every 15 minutes from 6pm to 1am with the arrival stop in “Rosmini – S. Maria Maggiore” (southbound). For the “return” from the Rosmini – S. Maria Maggiore stop (southbound) and Rosmini / Muse cemetery (southbound) every 15 minutes from 6.30 pm to 4 am arriving at the Trento Sud parking area. The Trento Sud parking area includes : four car parks in via Fersina at the T Quotidiano Arena, the car park in via Lidorno at the Bici Grill, the car park in via Ragazzi del 99 (Al Marinaio). The service will be carried out with public buses at an urban fare. It is advisable to have a ticket or season ticket.

Croce: parking ban with forced removal from 7am on 22 June until 1am on 23 June and transit ban from 3pm on 22 June to 1am on 23 June. Via delle Orfane – Piazza SM Maggiore no parking with forced removal until midnight on 30 June. Piazza SM Maggiore: transit ban from 9pm until midnight on 21-23-24-25-26.06.2024. Piazzetta 2 September ’43: parking ban with forced removal until midnight on 28 June. Via Verdi: transit ban and parking ban with forced removal from 7am on June 22nd until 6pm on June 23rd. Via Maffei: parking ban with forced removal from 7am on June 22nd until 6pm on June 23rd. Via Don Rizzi: transit ban from 7am on June 22nd until 6pm on June 23rd. Piazzale ex Zuffo: parking ban with forced removal from 6pm on 21 June until midnight on 22 June. Via del Suffragio: intersection with via Manci, no transit from 7am on 22nd June until 6pm on 23rd June. Working women’s square: transit ban from 5pm to midnight on 21 June, from 10am to 2am on 22 June, from 10am to midnight on 23-25-26 June. Piazza Mostra: transit ban from 9pm to midnight on 21 June, from 9pm to 2am on 22 June, from 9pm to midnight on 23 June, from 8am on 24 June to 7pm on June 25th. Viale Trieste: (Fersina music festival) in the stretch between the intersection with via Grazioli and number 43 on the following days and time slots: parking ban with forced removal from 8 am on 21 June until midnight on 26 June; transit ban, with the exception of those at number 43, from 6pm until midnight on 23-24-25 June.
Palio dell’Oca (23 June): parking ban with forced removal in Lungadige Leopardi in the stretch between the intersection with Ponte S. Giorgio and number 80 of Corso Buonarroti, from 12pm to midnight; narrowing of the roadway in Lungadige Leopardi with closure of the west side lane in a north-south direction in the stretch between the intersection with Corso Buonarroti and the Via S. Lorenzo roundabout from 2pm to midnight; ban on cycle/pedestrian transit in Lung’Adige Leopardi along the entire cycle/pedestrian path from 2 pm until midnight; ban on transit in Lung’Adige Leopardi and at the intersections with it in via A. da Trento – via Dosso Dossi – via Guardi – via Lampi – via Busetti from 2pm until midnight; two-way traffic in via A. da Trento, via Dosso Dossi, via Guardi and via Lampi from 2pm until midnight; ban on transit on the S. Lorenzo bridge and S. Lorenzo bridge roundabout from 5.40 pm until midnight; ban on transit in Lung’Adige Braille during the transit of heavy vehicles transporting the rafts from 12pm to midnight; ban on transit in the Piedicastello – Ponte S. Lorenzo roundabout and in Lung’Adige Apuleio in the stretch between Via Dos Trento and the Piedicastello – Ponte S. Lorenzo roundabout from 5.40 pm until midnight; ban on transit in via Brescia between Piazza Piedicastello and the Ponte S. Lorenzo roundabout from 5.40 pm until midnight.
Fires of San Vigilio (26 June from 9pm to midnight): ban on transit in Lungadige Leopardi, Corso Buonarroti, Overpass S. Lorenzo, Rotatoria S. Lorenzo, Ponte S. Lorenzo, Lungadige Monte Grappa, Via Sanseverino in the stretch between Via Verdi and Lungadige Monte Grappa; access ban on Lungadige Marco Apuleio at the intersection of via Druso – Ponte S. Giorgio and on via Dos Trento from the roundabout (height of former recovery cars); obligation to turn right onto via R. da Sanseverino heading north at the intersection with via Verdi; obligation to turn left onto via Verdi at the intersection with via R. da Sanseverino; no transit in via Jedin near the roundabout on the access road to the northbound ring road, west ring road roundabout – Strada della Gardesana on the entrance road to the southbound ring road; no transit on the access road to the southbound ring road called via al Maso Visintainer.
