The partnership on a three-year basis, signed in these hours by his Paternal alongside Ross’ club Pelligrarepresents above all a sentimental question. “Catania has been my favorite team since I was a child, Paternò has been a love for decades now: I put ‘my’ creatures in contact. I think I’m building something important here, our return to Serie D today has much broader bases and horizons than in the past.”
Mazzamuto: “Paternò-Catania? Not just young people”
The news of the imminent collaboration between Paternò and Catania has already opened up various scenarios, even in the transfer market.
An operation win—win which, as Mazzamuto tells, it embraces all aspects of the red and blue clubs, also with a future perspective. “The agreement mainly concerns the technical aspect: the young people who we think may be ready to help us in Serie D will be involved, as well as some elements that Catania does not consider part of its current project. We have already identified more than a few profiles. The partnership will also help us on a marketing level and further down the line it will certainly also involve the structures should there be a sports center similar to what Torre Del Grifo was in the area”.
Between scenarios, present and future
A winning idea, that between Catania And Paternalwhich seals a partnership that is anything but casual. “It all started from my solid friendship with Pippo Franchina who I consider the driving force behind Catania –Mazzamuto tells us– A decent man who literally goes out of his way for his company. He introduced me to Vincenzo Grella and Rosario Pelligra: by dating we discovered that we had many points in common and from there this collaboration was born which demonstrates the exponential growth of our club and the enormous attention of the Catania project, which intends to take root in the territory with its solid and important base.
Catania but not only. The present of Paternò by Mazzamuto, after the precious victory of Italian Amateur Cupis absolutely aimed at that Serie D regained with so much effort. “Trainer? Vittorio Strianese is meeting different profiles, I will meet there too. We will announce our choice next week. Goals? Playing a quiet season, making the most of the young players and giving us a lot of satisfaction.”
