FARMHOUSE -Cascina will host the National Assembly of the Missricordie d’Italia in Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd June.

The Misericordia di Cascina was designated this year as the venue for the 2024 national assembly. The start of work is scheduled for Friday morning with the managers of the various sectors. The programmatic document will be produced by the afternoon. It will then be the turn of an eagerly awaited internal conference on Artificial Intelligence in the social and healthcare sector.

The actual work of the Assembly will begin on Saturday morning with all the local authorities. In particular, the annual report of the president of the National Confederation of the Misericordie d’Italia Domenico Giani and that of the national spiritual corrector HE Mons. Franco Agostinelli will be held. The progress of the agenda items listed and the proposed statutory amendments will follow with the relative comparison between the proponents.

On Saturday afternoon at 3pm there will be a ceremony to award merit to the volunteers who provided services during the floods in Emilia Romagna and Tuscany. The same will be done for the volunteers who made it possible to best fulfill the demanding Disevac operation (evacuation of disabled or fragile people) at the Ukrainian border. It will then be the turn of the farewell for the restart and relaunch of humanitarian activities at the Misericordia of Bethlehem.

No fewer than 200 Misericordie are currently expected to be represented at the National Assembly, among the nearly 700 registered nationwide, coming from literally every region of our country.
