Appointed sporting director of Potenza a few days ago, speaking to Il Mattino, the former green and white manager Enzo De Vito did not hide the emotion of facing Avellino as an opponent in the next Lega Pro championship.
“It will be exciting to find Avellino as an opponent again. Things could have gone better, it is undeniable, but in the end nothing irreparable happened. Is football. The Potenza? On his latest experience in Irpinia: “Everything didn’t work in the best way as in the previous seven years but, ultimately, there wasn’t a relegation or an economic disaster. I found myself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Avellino will always have a special place in my heart, but now my heart, soul and body are for Potenza. Ricciardi? It has excellent potential. We need to give kids the chance to make mistakes in order to mature. I wouldn’t lose sight of Russo and Maisto either. The D’Agostino family deserves to see their commitment to Avellino repaid. I am convinced that by persisting they can do it.”
