Pisa, 19 June 2024 – “Pisa is becoming less and less safe and the many episodes of petty crime are the confirmation”. The leader of the Democratic Party in the city council says so, Matteo Trapaniwhich occurs after the complaint made by the marina traders of Pisaworried and exasperated by the flurry of thefts and incidents of damage.
“Michele Conti – writes Trapani -, he ran for office 6 years ago with the slogan of safety, promising that he would be able to improve liveability in the neighborhoods. Instead, the episodes of recent months, from the coast to the station, up to the other neighborhoods, denote a total lack of control and presence in the area on the part of this administration”.
Six years in which according to the dem group leader the situation “has only gotten worse – he adds – and the many promises of the first electoral campaign have now become a mockery. If we combine this with the state of neglect and degradation in which our neighborhoods find themselves, we understand well how the mayor stopped caring about Pisa to think only of his political career at the expense of the Pisan citizens”.
“A few years ago, Conti – is the complaint from Trapani – at least pretended to deal with the problem by talking about security, appointing his faithful Northern League deputy Ziello as advisor on security itself, asking for more police forces in Rome.
