Differentiated autonomy, Bardi: we will guarantee benefits to the Lucanians

Vito Bardi, president of the Basilicata Region

“We share the doubts expressed by the governor of the Calabria region on the acceleration of the legislative process”

The text approved in the Chamber on differentiated autonomy, certainly improved compared to the one presented months ago by Minister Calderoli, is a positive fact that we have already highlighted on other occasions. This is what the President of the Regional Council, Vito Bardi, declared. The certain fact – adds Bardi – is that agreements between the State and the Regions cannot be ratified without first having quantified and financed the essential levels of performance. We continue to maintain that the bill on differentiated autonomy cannot fail to have an intervention on the reduction of infrastructural gaps as a factor in rebalancing the territories. An element that puts the southern regions in a position to be able to develop those fundamental processes of autonomy to bring about a turning point in development policies. We also share – concludes the president of Basilicata – the doubts already expressed by some exponents of Forza Italia, such as the governor of the Calabria region, Occhiuto, regarding the acceleration that was sought to be given to the legislative process, when it would have been possible to further improve the measure. Our commitment will be entirely aimed at achieving the greatest benefits for the Lucanian people.
