the video of the flash robbery in Pescara

The scene was captured in a video recorded by surveillance cameras in the area in which the two criminals can be seen acting without haste and calmly taking the help away after having opened it and started it with great ease.

A new coup by criminals carried out in recent hours in Abruzzo brings the nightmare back car thefts on the Pescara Cerignola axis. The latest victim is the owner of a Ford Kuga SUV worth around 40 thousand euros made disappear by two criminals on foot in the San Silvestro area of Pescara, in just three minutes. The scene was captured in a video recorded by surveillance cameras in the area in which the two criminals can be seen acting without haste and calmly taking the help away after opening it and starting it with great ease.

The facts date back to night between Monday and Tuesday last, around 3, as Pescara says. In the video you can see the two thieves approaching on foot near the car stopped on the side of the road as if they were walking calmly, in Bermuda shorts and also consulting their phone. Neither of them has their faces covered but only a little hair, confident that they will act undisturbed. Once the car is alongside, they begin to mess with the driver’s door to break it in, managing to open it in just a few seconds.

Only at this point does one of the two crouch on the ground behind the car so as not to be seen while the other gets behind the wheel to start it. After one motorbike passes, the other one also enters and two minutes later the car is on and moving. At this point one of the two gets out of the car and walks away, probably towards the vehicle with which the thieves arrived on site, and the other takes it away. The theft was discovered only in the morning by the owner who, consulting the app to find the car, discovered that it had already ended up in Cerignola, in the Foggiano area, where it was probably dismantled.

Unfortunately, the theft of the car is only the latest in a long series of criminal actions that have been affecting Abruzzo for months where the cars are presumably targeted in order to dismember them and resell the pieces on the black market. In many cases the now cannibalized cars were found right in the Cerignola countryside.
