Foggia. Thanks to a blood truck from the Ospedali Riuniti in via della Repubblica 18, at the INPS headquarters, the municipal AVIS of Foggia was able to collect 29 blood donations.
“A flattering result – said the president of AVIS Foggia Alessandro Giallella – especially if added to the numbers of donation days organized in recent days in parishes and public bodies. On a weekday and summer day, when users are working, finding a moment for a noble and important gesture like donating blood is a source of great satisfaction for us.” Giallella is echoed by Anna Alviti, deputy director of the INPS of Foggia: “We would like, as the INPS provincial headquarters, to thank the AVIS of Foggia and the collaboration of the transfusion center and the ‘Gina’ association.
INPS has always dealt with social rights, inclusion and the fight against poverty, as well as the defense of the most vulnerable. We dedicate this initiative to Francesco Ginese, known to his friends as ‘Gina’, son of one of our colleagues who passed away on 23 June 2019 in Rome in a tragic accident”.
The donation reflects the motto of this Foggia non-profit organization: “If a pain seems useless to you and you can’t stop the tears, a gesture of love will dry them up”.
