The heat and increasingly muggy days have now arrived and the risk of fires in the parks and green areas of Pescara is becoming higher.
For this reason, from 9 July, as confirmed by the outgoing municipal councilor for Civil Protection, Eugenio Seccia, the Aid or forest fire prevention service will be activated.
The Pescara civil protection associations will be responsible for carrying out the checks.
It is an initiative promoted by the Abruzzo Region which will be implemented in the D’Annunzio reserve, in the San Silvestro area and in Colle del Telegrafo.
The presence of two volunteers per area is expected, therefore three couples, every day from 12 to 4 pm, which is the hottest and riskiest time when there are fewer people in the parks.
