Official presentation of the new Civitavecchia sports season. The conference in which the projects and programs of the Nerazzurri club were revealed was held this morning in the premises of the Port Company. As expected the new coach will be Massimo Castagnari. Massimiliano Mecozzi joins the company and will be co-president and will therefore support Patrizio Presutti.
An ambitious project for Civitavecchia which will start again from the many confirmations to which Manuel Vittorini could be added with whom there will be a meeting tomorrow at 2.30pm. His permanence is almost certain and would obviously greatly increase the Nerazzurri’s ambitions for the next championship.
“I am from Civitavecchia – comments Mecozzi – and for several years I have wanted to start a journey with Civitavecchia. My project involves improving the youth sector to create a nice nursery. For the first team we plan to build a high-level team, make the fans dream and win something important. I don’t like participating and losing.”
“On my part and on my staff – explains Castagnari – there is the desire to win and repeat what was done three years ago with the success in the Italian Cup. The confirmation of last season’s players is important, we will see how to build the team. The most important thing is to form a good group and make sure the path is clear. As far as the formation is concerned, we can play in many ways but obviously everything will be clearer once the team is formed.”
