The exhibition “Paper Regions. Maps and books for a trip to Sicily”, mainly cartographic and bibliographic, will be inaugurated on Friday 21 June at the Museum of Geography of the Department of Historical, Geographical and Antiquity Sciences of the University of Padua.

In the exhibition it is possible to admire ancient and modern geographical maps, but also atlases, fossils, rocks, some animals, as well as a rich selection of volumes on the territory, the economy, travel, literature and on the physical geography of the island large of the Mediterranean.

The exhibition can be visited during the opening of the Museum, which in the summer period is scheduled for the afternoons of Tuesday 25th and Sunday 23rd and 30th June; every Tuesday in Julyas well as Tuesday August 27 And September 3.

The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Library of Geography, Economic Sciences, Ca’ Borin Newspaper Library – Unipd and with the contribution of the Museum of Nature and Man – University of Padua and the Education Museum of the University of Padua .

Thanks to the collaboration with the Notturni Padovani initiative, a visit to the Geography Museum is also possible in eight evenings, which can be booked directly from the initiative website: www.notturnipadovani.it.
