As part of the celebrations for Saint John the Baptist, next Saturday June 22nd give her 9pm a meeting will be held on the parish pitch memorial evening dedicated to Don Nicola Stellino, unforgettable parish priest of the parish community of the Cappuccinelli district Trapani died on February 29th at the age of 81.
With the coordination of Melina Farris and Roberto Valenti, music, videos and testimonies will alternate. In particular, the new parish priest Don Roberto D’Aleo will trace the memory of the rich and original pastoral path of Father Stellino ordained priest in 1966. Don Pino Vitrano of the “Hope and Charity” Mission founded by Biagio Conte will speak, with the community in video connection of Uberaba in Brazil founded by Franca Ingrassia from Trapani, the priests Don Rino Rosati and Don Antonino Castelli, Anna Burgarella of the Movement for Life, former prisoners and people of all social and cultural backgrounds supported in their life journey by the human promotion of which the parish priest of Cappuccinelli was an authoritative witness for almost 50 years.
The volume will also be presented “Come Holy Spirit – small reflections for big changes” which contains excerpts from homilies by Father Stellino and the testimonies of the bishop Pietro Maria Fragnelli, the mayor Giacomo Tranchida, the former national president of the Renewal in the Spirit Salvatore Martinez, the founder of the community of the Servants of Poor Jesus Sister Maria Goretti and the greetings of the family and the parish community.
Monday 24 June the community will celebrate the titular saint of the parish. At 6pm the bishop will preside over the Eucharistic concelebration, the procession will follow through the streets of the neighborhood and on the return (around 9pm) a recital will be held in the parish field directed by Salvatore Marcantonio entitled “Thunder King” organized by the guests of the “Domenico Amoroso” day centre.
