SCHOOL. PORTESANI (CDX) GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE YOUNG CREMONESI WHO WILL FACE MATURITY, OUR GREAT RESPONSIBILITIES ON THEIR FUTURE

“This week the final exams will begin: I wish good luck to all those young people from Cremona who will once again sit at school to face this test: a crucial moment in their training experience”, says Alessandro Portesani, candidate of the center-right for the office of mayor.

“It is an important experience for all the kids who are at the end of a cycle of their lives. After these days of passion and joy they will find themselves deciding whether to continue their studies or enter the world of work. And here – he adds Portesani – our community comes into play and must provide answers to our new generations. I have always underlined how important it is for the city to retain talent by strengthening, as much as possible, the presence of university courses in Cremona you will want to dedicate yourself to a job to encourage, as much as possible, the meeting between job supply and demand”.

“The collaboration between schools, universities and businesses is of strategic importance for the innovation and development of the city”, explains Portesani, citing the government program.” The exchange of knowledge between training places and companies and the implementation of common projects are fundamental for the attractiveness of our university and professional paths, the competitiveness of companies, the employability of graduates and young people trained, and the economic and social growth of our territory”.

“We have the duty and obligation to think about the future of our young people and to create opportunities for their future”, remarks Portesani. “We want to create working appointments with high school and university managers and associations of economic categories as there is an important demand from our companies for human resources with skills, knowledge and professionalism. We intend to commit ourselves, notes the centre-right mayoral candidate, for the promotion of ITS in the territory consistent with our clusters of territorial excellence, in collaboration with the economic categories. For example, we will promote the establishment of a Foundation for the governance of an Agri-food ITS”. “We want public-private coordination (school, educational services, Municipality) that promotes online services to combat school dropout, also and above all from a preventive perspective, with interventions to support students, teachers, families – moving from mere analysis of data to initiate concrete actions”. “And last but not least the establishment of a Youth Forum which contributes to the organization of initiatives and events designed by young people for young people”.
