There will be around 4 thousand athletes who will take part from tomorrow and until 23 June in Catania at the World Company Sport Games, the world corporate sport. It will be this morning Room E7 of the Le Ciminiere Exhibition Center will host the presentation press conference. A moment, strongly desired by the Organizing Committee, to illustrate the definitive numbers of the world championship event which will bring together over 4 thousand athletes and a thousand accompanying managers in Catania. To evaluate the impact on the level of tourism promotion, of the territory, of the global event, hotel and sports accommodation, given the imposing mass of structures that will simultaneously host the World Cup, interventions by the mayor of the Municipality of Catania and the Metropolitan City, Enrico Trantino, are expected; the regional councilor for Sport, Elvira Amata; the Sport councilor of the Municipality of Catania, Sergio Parisi.Furthermore, the Mayors of the municipalities that will host the World Cup sporting events will intervene.In addition to Catania the races, in fact, will be held in Syracuse, Pergusa (Enna), Sant’Agata Li Battiati, San Giovanni La Punta, Gravina, Mascalucia, Maletto, Castiglione. Particularly evocative are the road cycling races that will be held inside the Pergusa Autodrome, which is no stranger to hosting cycling events. There will be football, basketball, volleyball, athletics, but also less popular sports such as darts, bowling and table football, one of the disciplines with the most members in the Csain. Thirty-one sports disciplines (28 plus three Paralympic) scheduled for the three-day world championship. Among the most significant, orienteering in Syracuse and Linguaglossa, and walking football also arouse great curiosity. The last sporting act of the World Games will be on the afternoon of Saturday 22 June with a race along the streets of the Sant’Agata Trophy.
