The Trame festival is underway, from today 18th June until the 23rd a series of events in Lamezia Terme
MAINTAIN high attention on connivances, infiltrations and silences that allow the mafias to persist in their control over spaces, consensus and power. This will be the objective of “A futuro memoria”, the thirteenth edition of Plots. Festival of books on mafias, starting from today and until June 23rd in Lamezia.
During the six-day event, writers, journalists, magistrates, politicians, scholars and members of the civil community will have the opportunity to express themselves and denounce these phenomena. «This year Trame returns to one of its strong identity themes: memory, remembrance, the battles for freedom, the resistance to the mafias in the territories, the stories of the victims and those who have been forgotten. But it will also be a time to reflect on the present, on the state of the fight against the mafias and on the wars that are turning the world upside down. Like every year, Trame aims to be an open space for dialogue, discussion and discussion. For the second consecutive year Trame. Festival was selected by the Turin Book Fair as part of the “Luci sui festival” project, the initiative that promotes the main literary events of our country.
Today at 6pm the inauguration of the festival at the San Domenico Cloister with the opening of the exhibition, at the Lamezzo archaeological museum (San Domenico monumental complex) of the works of art confiscated as part of the “Civic Visions” project. The first day will end at 10pm in Piazzetta San Domenico with “Favuriti”, as part of “Trame in musica”, a project by the storyteller Francesca Prestia, with the presence of Roberto Occhiuto, president of the Calabria Region and the entrepreneur Antonino De Masi .
Among the appointments tomorrow at 5pm at Palazzo Nicotera will be the Ecomafie report with Stefano Ciafani, national president of Legambiente and followed by the presentation of the book “Il viaggio al monte analogo. Mount Cocuzzo. The mountain – ark” with the author Mauro Francesco Minervino and Giuseppe Smorto. Also tomorrow, “Memory and nostalgia for the future” with Vito Teti and Giuseppe Smorto from Quotidiano del Sud, at 7.15pm in Piazzetta San Domenico.
