Strengthen synergies for one greater protection of the Calabrian territory, promoting environmental awareness. This is the goal of memorandum of understanding signed by Alberto Fio, regional representative of Plastic Free Calabriathe non-profit organization that has been working to combat plastic pollution since 2019, and Ilaria Bossio, district representative of the Rotaract District 2102. The memorandum of understanding includes a series of joint initiatives that aim to raise awareness among the Calabrian population of the importance of environmental protection. Among the planned activities are i clean up organized to remove plastic and waste and to promote a culture of respect for the environment; awareness events in schools and local communities to educate younger generations about the importance of sustainability; collaborations with local authorities and other organizations to expand the network of entities engaged in environmental protection, promoting the active participation.
The agreement between Plastic Free Calabria and the Rotaract District 2102 represents a significant step towards creating one solid and active network for environmental protection in Calabria. Both organizations are committed to working side by side to achieve common goals and to make Calabria an example of sustainability and respect for the environment.
