The protagonist is always Sustainability: from the 2030 Agenda, which the municipal administration is implementing in a series of energy efficiency actions of the public real estate assets, in the transition from fossil to renewable sources, in the reduction of land consumption foreseen in the recently approved PGT and in the de-waterproofing of the same, in planting, as well as encouraging soft mobility, at the first dedicated festival, in program on Saturday 29 June, from 10.30am to 6pm, in the Library Park in via Cavour.
There Sustainability Festival, which is part of the “La Bella estate” programme, includes stands and workshops, talks and cinema, art, music, theater for children and a picnic in the park. The initiative, organized by the Civic Library in collaboration with the BiblioGiovani group, aims
raise awareness and mobilize citizens, young generations, businesses, associations and institutions on the issues of sustainability in its broadest sense, therefore from economic, social and environmental aspects.
Below is the program for the day
STANDS AND WORKSHOPS
- From 10.30am and 3pm – Laboratory Terrarium, where we can create a self-sufficient ecosystem together. We will provide all the necessary material, but bring a jar with a cap and whatever you want to decorate your terrarium, curated by Lorenzo Rota of the BiblioGiovani group.
- At 11am: Create your own oleolite workshop, where you can create wellness oils together and bring home your natural and personal remedy, sustainable for you and the planet, curated by @greenlifecoach.bio. Bring your own jar with cap (50/100 ml).
- From 10.30am: SOS Plants, where you can receive advice on recognising, preventing and treating plant diseases, at care of the agronomist Pier Antonio Bragato. Bring your plant or show a photo to receive personalized advice.
- From 2pm: Theoretical and practical laboratory Biodiverse vase: intercrops, pollinators, ecosystems, edited by @wildcesare.
- From 3pm: Creative jewelery workshop with recycled materials, curated by Rossella Cipressi.
- At 4pm: Workshop of design objects from the bike world, curated by @custom_catena during the day exchange of clothes, books, plants and cuttings.
ART
During the day LAND ART, collective installation, with the collaboration of @entropia.mg Exhibition “Art, nature and sustainability”, with Carlo Meda, Celeste Luna Sala, Giulia Rotini, Valentina Macrì.TALK
- At 11.30: We must not be afraid of the dark. How light pollution is changing our lives and what to do to restore a starry sky to future generations, by light designer Andrea Carson.
- At 3pm: Music and vinyl for the future, curated by Federico Croci, record producer at Rude Records.
- At 4pm: Climate crisis and non-violent struggle. Presentation of the book “ULTIMA GENERAZIONE. Civil disobedience and climate resistance”, edited by Francesco D’Isa, Tlon editions
- From 5pm: Legnano, Sustainable Municipality, presentation of the Guide to Sustainable Municipalities with Mayor Lorenzo Radice and Giovanni Gostoli, director of the Network of Sustainable Municipalities.
PEDAL MUSIC – In the afternoon there will be a “zero impact” concert with Magasin du Cafè.

FOR CHILDREN: At 5pm Neighborhood library, via Dei Salici 9: THEATHRAL SHOW Let’s not throw it overboard, curated by Spaventapasseri Teatro.
CINEMA: Friday 28 June at 9.30 pm in the Sala Ratti courtyard the screening of the film Siccità, by Paolo Virzì,
will begin the programming of “Cinema under the stars”.
All activities, picnics and cinema aside, are free and open to entry, without reservations.
