Livorno, 17 June 2024 – Yes, I am concluded early (the end was scheduled for Friday 21 June) the resurfacing works on the roadway Viale Mameliin the stretch between viale Boccaccio and via Redi.
All changes to the road system temporarily adopted are therefore repealed, including those regarding parking for residents.
Work on the second section, the one that goes from the intersection with via Marradi to the intersection with via Redi (inclusive) will start on Monday 24 June.
This intervention, carried out by the road works planning office of the Municipality of Livorno, also involves the milling of the roadway, asphalting and the redevelopment of the road drainage system.
As with the work just completed, the rehabilitation of this second stretch of Viale Mameli will involve the use of only one of the two lanes from time to time, always one-way in the direction of Via Redi-Via Marradi, and with a ban on transit in the streets leading to the section affected by the works.
In the meantime, work has started asphalting of via Buonarroti. Milling of the road surface was carried out today and the asphalting of the roadway should be completed tomorrow. The intervention had been preceded in recent months by the resurfacing of the pavements, and subsequently by the work of ASA which renewed all the underlying pipes of the water and sewerage network. Via Buonarroti is therefore the first road to be redone in full.
