The motion on the ceasefire was approved in the city council with 15 votes in favour, despite the 5 abstentions of the councilors of the League, of Fratelli d’Italia and of the majority councillors, Lomuzio and Fiusco. The motion committing the mayor to activate all initiatives in support of peace was proposed and discussed in the previous session. The experimental Bike to work project, proposed by the minority councilor, Francesco Battista, was unanimously approved. This point had also already been discussed, and the council immediately moved on to the vote. Divisions instead on the motion for the establishment of a municipal minimum wage, proposed by the opposition councillor, Antonio Lenti. The assembly was divided on the legitimacy or otherwise of reviewing national collective agreements, but in the end it approved. The other points were not discussed because the proposer Gianni Liviano was absent. Also absent were the mayor and councillors, who were involved in the council meeting, at the same time as the council which met in question time mode.
