“A Tutto Volume – books celebrating in Ragusa”, boom in readers and book sales for the 15th edition of the festival | Estimated 20 thousand attendances in four days

The fifteenth edition of A Tutto Volume ended yesterday evening, as per tradition in Piazza Duomo in Ragusa Ibla, in front of an audience of thousands of people.

The journalist Francesca Fagnani, in dialogue with Maddalena Oliva and Antonio Pascale, presented her debut novel Mala for the closing event. Criminal Rome, Published by SEM.

The edition was then greeted by the Artistic Director, Alessandro Di Salvo, who called the staff on stage and thanked them for their participation which this year exceeded all expectations.

Standing audiences at all meetings and record attendance is the festival’s balance sheet in 2024: in fact, over 50 events, many of which took place at the same time, recorded a constant presence and great attention from the public.

“Not only do the citizens of the province of Ragusa contribute to making A Tutto Volume an event with a constantly growing audience, but people from all over Sicily and the rest of Italy choose to visit the beauties of the Val di Noto on the occasion of the festival” – declares Alessandro Di Salvo.

On Sunday 16 June the spaces of the city saw, among the protagonists, the scientist Giorgio Vallortigara, the writer Giuseppe Culicchia, the veterinarian and scholar Giulia Corsini, Luciano Canfora, Giancarlo De Cataldo. The eclectic soul of the Festival this year was also represented by the presence of the singer-songwriter Saba Anglana who presented her book La donna marvel (Sellerio) and by the professor of the Federico II University of Naples, Enrico Bucci, who held a open lesson on DNA.

Always great appreciation from the public for the beauty and uniqueness of the meeting places: from the beaches of Marina di Ragusa to the UNESCO heritage buildings of Ibla, passing through the squares, alleys and gardens of the historic city centre.

The festival’s social networks, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, have also recorded an increase in numbers and community interactions, underlining how young people have approached the event in recent years. In support of the Festival, promoted by the Fondazione degli Archi: The Municipality of Ragusa, the Sicilian Region, the ARS, the Free Municipal Consortium of Ragusa, the ASP Ragusa, the Center for Books and Reading, the tourist destination Enjoy Barocco , Alib, South East Chamber of Commerce, Banca Agricola Popolare di Ragusa, Timac Agro, and other private partners.
