Celebrated 20 years since the foundation of the ‘Vespa Club Lamezia’

Lamezia Terme – “20 years have been celebrated since the foundation of the Vespa Club Lamezia Terme. On 18 June 2004, on the initiative of two of the current members of the Board, the Vespa Club Lamezia Terme was born, the association that launched the Vespa movement not only in the city, but throughout the Region. “So on Sunday morning – they say – over 100 Vespa enthusiasts met for breakfast in Piazza Italia in Sant’Eufemia and then set off for the historic center of Sambiase and that of Nicastro. A touristic Vespa ride for roads not easily passable by car, a traveling meeting with old friends, with the old founding members, the families, together with many young members, all remembering with a smile on their faces and a lot of melancholy the roads traveled together and the many initiatives promoted to support the movement and the territory”.

“From the 1st regional meeting in the month of September 2004 in the city to today – they continue – 20 years have passed and always in a crescendo of initiatives and commitments. From the first local meetings to the first Tour of the three Sila lakes on a Vespa in 2012 repeated the following year, at the request of the national leaders, the collaboration with the other clubs for the relaunch of Vespa sports competitions at regional and interregional level, the Faro Basso tourist event in Tropea in 2014 and finally the 1st Vesplora Tour Calabria in 2022”.
