PROMOTION OF ANIMAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
Breast milk substitutes, a change equal to €337,835 has been approved for the registration in the regional budget of the state contribution for the year 2024, intended for women suffering from pathological conditions that prevent the natural practice of breastfeeding.
Four new spending chapters have been established for the purpose of correct classification of the financial charts, in line with the spending purposes to be made with the PNRR funds allocated for Component 2 “Innovation, research and digitalisation of the national health service” of Mission 6 Health. The aforementioned component includes measures aimed at the renewal and modernization of existing technological and digital structures, the strengthening and dissemination of the Electronic Health Record (ESF) and a better capacity for provision and monitoring of the Essential Levels of Assistance (LEA) to be also achieved through the strengthening of health information flows.
ENVIRONMENT, LANDSCAPE AND URBAN QUALITY
The “BEYOND – Blue Economy sYnergies fOr sustainable Development” project has been admitted to financing with resources from the cross-border cooperation program “Interreg VI-A Italy-Croatia 2021/2027”. The project activities carried out by the Puglia Region consist of the involvement of local stakeholders, the organization of communication initiatives (workshops and conferences) for the dissemination of results, the cooperation with other partners for the implementation of technical activities within the pilot project area. A budget of €213,000 is expected, financed by ERDF funds for 80% of the amount and the remaining 20% by state resources
PRESIDENT’S CABINET
“Life sciences hub of the Puglia Region” project, the sums allocated to the expenditure chapters have been remodeled in relation to the economic framework of the individual beneficiaries for the financial year 2024.
“IDENTITY – Mediterranean Integrated Network for the observation and development of personalized nutrition paths against malnutrition” project, sums equal to €224,000 have been re-allocated in consideration of the obligations that will be completed in the financial years 2024 and 2025. Furthermore, an allocation is expected of a further €16,320 deriving from administration surplus.
BUDGET, GENERAL AFFAIRS AND INFRASTRUCTURE
“P_3 – Terre dell’Alta Murgia” project, a memorandum of understanding signed between the Puglia Region and the Metropolitan City of Bari for a period of six years, aimed at urban, peri-urban and extra-urban forestation interventions which will concern areas within the municipalities of Bitonto , Gravina In Puglia, Ruvo di Puglia and Cassano delle Murge.
CIVIL PROTECTION
A draft Agreement has been approved between the Civil Protection of the Puglia Region and the Regional Agency for Forestry Irrigation Activities (ARIF) to improve operational capacity in emergency contexts. Financial availability of 3 million euros is expected from the resources of Action 2.7 of the PR Puglia FESR-FSE+ 2021-2027.
The agreement intends to fully implement the regional strategy aimed at promoting adaptation to climate change, improving the prediction, prevention and response capacity of the civil protection system, involving the competent operational structures.
Among the planned interventions, the strengthening of ARIF’s fleet of multifunctional operational vehicles to be used in emergency situations in support of the regional Civil Protection and the integration of the infrastructure of cameras and thermal imaging cameras as well as remotely piloted systems (RPAS) for prevention and the dynamic monitoring of fires by the regional Civil Protection with that available from ARIF. Furthermore, 20 units of ARIF personnel are expected to be assigned to Civil Protection activities in the regional operational structures of Bari-Modugno, Campi Salentina, Polignano, Castellaneta Marina, Montalbano di Fasano and Foggia, as well as 30 units of ARIF personnel to the Operations Directorate (DOS) on the regional territory in the context of forest firefighting activities (AIB).
CITIZEN SECURITY, MIGRATION POLICIES, SOCIAL ANTI-MAFIA
A Subsidy Agreement scheme has been approved between the Management Authority of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (FAMI) and the Puglia Region. The agreement is contextual to the admission to financing by the Ministry of the Interior – Department for Civil Liberties and Immigration of the project “Training integrations for an inclusive society”. Funding of €1,009,450.79 is foreseen for the offer of civic-linguistic training services with a maximum duration of 36 months starting from the date indicated in the communication of the start of the activities.
An Addendum has been approved to the agreement stipulated between the Puglia Region and AGER Puglia aimed at carrying out an extraordinary intervention for the collection, transport, disposal and recovery of solid urban waste produced in the formal and informal settlements of migrants in the Torretta Antonacci area, in the Municipality of San Severo for a total amount of €323,000.
UNITARY PROGRAMMING
The Memorandum of Understanding between the Puglia Region and the Guardia di Finanza – Puglia Regional Command has been renewed to promote the qualification of the skills of the soldiers operating in the Puglia area and reporting to the Puglia Regional Command. The agreement is part of the specific regional training actions aimed at qualifying technical-administrative skills within the objectives set by Axis XI of the POC Puglia 2014-2020.
